Shaun captured the rise of grime

Ahead of a fundraising event at XOYO in London last night, photographer Shaun Bloodworth sadly passed away.

Shaun was awaiting a liver transplant but unfortunately died to due to infections and frailty. #RaveForShaun still went ahead, following his wishes and the blessing from his family. Friends, musicians, and fans alike partied in his memory and the lineup featured 20+ artists from the dance music world he helped document.

Shaun captured portraits of DJs, MCs, and singers. He played a huge part in photographing Rinse FM, and London-born genres dubstep and grime. Shaun will be remembered as an inspiring creative who always exhibited the uttermost friendliness to everyone he met.

A JustGiving page has raised over £9,000 to donate to charity and Shaun’s family.
